I wanted to make this site because tea is one of my favorite things and I previously didn't have a good place to keep track of stuff like what teas I drink, information on tea, and little related things that I felt I might want to share with friends and family (or even acquaintances) from time to time because most people don't know much about tea and aren't aware of how many great aspects there are to it and its culture especially when compared to other drinks popular in our society. I think many people would benefit from slowing down a bit in their lives and consuming a healthy drink like tea more regularly especially in such an era of major life-altering events like the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of AI taking away people's jobs which can feel overwhelming. Tea, especially when you brew it yourself, provides you with a simple and slow ritual that can be a pleasant constant in your life if you make a habit of it. I know the amount of information on tea can make it hard to get into for some people though, which is why I thought it would be nice to group some of it together in one site and include many of the insights I wish I had in the past when I was trying to learn about tea. I also thought it would be helpful to be able to look back at exactly what teas I've tried whenever I want to remember which ones I've had, and also be able to track roughly how much caffeine I'm consuming for health reasons.
In the future I hope to continue expanding my tea collection and trying lots of interesting unique teas from around the world. I plan to keep logging all the teas I drink on my site and hopefully expanding it eventually and adding lots more information and cool pictures and such.
